Manon BEAUDOIN

Playwright, director and actress, Manon Beaudoin lived in Edmonton for twenty years. She was an active participant in the local theatre scene collaborating on productions with such companies as L'UniThéâtre, Catalyst Theatre and Northern Light Theatre. She also worked closely with La Troupe du Jour in Saskatchewan and the Théâtre La Seizième in British Columbia. She now lives in Montreal. She also translated Einstein's Gift by Vern Thiessen which premiered in French at L'UniThéâtre, in Edmonton, in April 2008. – 2009-01-26

Synopsis
  The storyteller has caught a neighbour in her house in the act of theft. How could this friend of her son’s dare break into their house and steal a bag that didn’t belong to him? What was he looking for? Could he be looking for the suitcase full of earth, which belonged to the solitary child Gaby.

Synopsis
  More dreamlike than realistic, the play introduces us to Rose and Rostand, sister and brother, reunited in their family home after a long absence. Their mother is dying and the memory of Blanche, their sister who drowned 25 years earlier, haunts the surroundings and their memory.

Today, Clément and Marie-Rose A.. are leaving to go East. Today is the anniversary of the death of Mathilde A.., daughter of Marie-Rose and mother of Damien. Today is also Damien’s birthday. He turns nineteen. From dusk until dawn, time stretches and contracts. Between the Western prairies and their giant sky, they meet Nûsh and I forgot, as memory becomes more sensitive and flesh comes alive again with one look.
